| Rosalie Iwig knows
the dangers of trusting large corporations to
handle real estate sales. Shortly after she
started in the realty business 18 years ago, a
larger company purchased the small office she
worked at. Over the course of a few years, Iwig
watched as quotas and recruitment took precedence
over customer service and communication. Wanting
to be involved in people's lives and provide a
personal touch to her clients, Iwig decided to go
into business for herself. In 2002, Iwig opened
her company's doors in Macomb Township with a
staff of just five agents. Three years and
numerous awards later. Realty Executive Associates
boasts 3 Dozen executives, each handpicked by Iwig and
intimately involved with their clients. Rather
than go the way of her old business. though, Iwig
said that the family atmosphere she loves is just
as evident today as when the doors first opened.
We're back to that close-knit atmosphere
again," Iwig said, .which we extend to our
customers. If everyone within can get along, it
extends to the outside."
Each executive is committed to the fact that
communication is the most essential quality in the
workplace. Not only does Iwig stress open
communications with her staff, but executives are
also constantly in contact with their clients.
Phone calls and feedback reports are released
between executives, buyers and sellers throughout
every stage of the process. At a time when the
real estate market is often rough, Iwig said it is
imperative that open communication is never
hindered between clients and executives.
We're constantly in touch with our clients to
let them know where they're at in |
the current
situation," Iwig said. "Support within helps
support without. Executives are well aware that
selling or buying a home can be one of the most
stressful periods in a person's life and does not
need to be compounded by requiring parents to get
babysitters for each meeting. Realty Executive
Associates makes sure all the bases are covered.
When clients come in for a meeting they are
offered coffee and cookies to make them feel right
at home. Rather than search for a sitter on short
notice, parents can bring their children, because
Iwig and her staff make sure that toys are always
on-hand to entertain them.
"Clients are comfortable if they bring need to
bring the" kids in," Iwig 'said. "'it's nice and
makes them feel relaxed. People appreciate and
respect that."
However, the staff knows that comfort and
communication are not what sell homes. That's why
Iwig prides the staff on being "the cream of the
crop." All of the firm's executives were brought
to Iwig by referral. Executives are not expected
to sit around waiting for the phone to ring but to
proactively keep searching out business. As a
result. many people who start off coming to Realty
Executives to sell a home stick with them through
the closing of their new one.
"Our agents make the phone ring. Their business
is largely based on repeat and referrals." Iwig
said. "Our staff is second to none.
